Review in a couple of words: It was fine
Went here for lunch as I work just up the road and a couple of friends had been mentioning that it was open and they raved about the NYC location.
Got the small combo platter ($9.99 + tax) which came with "salad" (tomato and lettuce), rice, chicken and beef gyro. I got the white sauce and hot sauce too.
The hot sauce was hot! I'm okay with hot sauces so I liked it but I know a lot of people wouldn't be able to handle it so order with caution! It definitely has a kick which caught me off guard on my first bite! The white sauce was great but again, pretty similar to other "white" sauces you get at gyro/shawarma places.
As for the meal as a whole, it was good, nothing mind-blowing. It is probably a little expensive compared to other similar establishments around the city. I might try it again in a few weeks, or maybe next time I've had a few beers as I can imagine this being great drunk food.
I've read some reviews about people lining up for this for 30 minutes!? I would not line up for this...
