| - This is not pediatrics dentistry at all! I walked in and asked if they saw 4 year olds and take Medicaid was told that they do and as long as the child can sit still, I agreed and set the appointment. I even set an appointment for myself. On the day of my son's appointment we were passed over on the list and was called up after the 2 people that arrived after me were attended to, I signed up on the list at the desk mind you. That bothered me but, I figured maybe they are regulars and their needs were going be quickly attended to. Nope, I was wrong. Come to find out the lady who was crossing off names on the list just crossed our name off and didn't even attempt to make sure everyone was assisted. That was sitting in the waiting room. Finally, my son and I were called into the back part of the office, as we are walking I was informed that I would be shown "the room he will be in but then I would have to leave". Excuse me?!?!?! My son is 4 years old. I asked to speak to an office manager who was conveniently out for the day and was then told that I would not be able to be in the exam room either. I explained to the lady how that was unacceptable, imagine going into an ob/gyn office to get a pap smear done by a male doctor with no nurse. She explained that it was different and that they would never do anything to hurt my child, NO EXCUSE! Then they proceeded to give me a "referral for a pediatric dentist because it was office policy that I couldn't go in there". I cancelled my appointment as we left. I think that they are discriminatory against Medicaid patients seeing as it is harder to get paid by Medicaid, so they book the appointment give you some ridiculous reason to make you walk out and still bill Medicaid. I have called Medicaid and informed of them of this possible fraud office. Also, what doctor in their right mind would even allow a child to be seen without adult supervision? Can you imagine the liabilities??? HORRIBLE OFFICE, HORRIBLE POLICIES!
