I live in Ahwatukee and needed to install screens on two large (4x8') windows because the sunlight was reflecting off the windows and drying or killing my lawn that faced that side of the house. I had a smooth experience for the project.
To streamline to project, I sent a couple of pictures and rough measurements to Sun City Awnings to let them know what I was looking for. Shortly thereafter, two people came to take detailed measurements and to show me the materials, colors, and shade options. For my project, they suggested an 80% shade (which makes it easy to look out the windows and still see what's going on in the backyard) and a beige color with white frame to match the house. They said that it takes about 1-2 weeks for the frame material to be ordered and applied to the frame. Due to the size of the windows, they also suggested two screens per window, rather than one large screen. I scheduled the install for about 2 weeks later, and the installer arrived ready to go. He had the screens installed in about an hour or so, and I could not be more pleased. Not only do they compliment the exterior of the house, I'm guessing they will pay for themselves in a few months by how much sunlight (and therefore heat) they prevent from coming into my living room. The process could not have been smoother. I've posted before and after photos of my project.
