| - I had been searching high and low for an airbrush supply and could not find it - not even on the internet. My search led me to Hobby Lobby where I wandered and even got lost in the aisles with no help whatsoever. Once I found their airbrush supply section, they did not even come close to carrying what I needed. I then tried Dick Blick and while they were helpful and friendly, their airbrush supplies were somewhat limited and not exactly what I needed to complete my gear. I tried Hobby Town on Sahara near Decatur. While I found their staff also helpful and I was able to find a few things I probably don't "need" but purchased them as wants - I still could not find what I originally set out to find. I breathed a sigh of relief as I walked in Desert Art Supplies. For some reason, the two gentlemen behind the counter put me at ease. I asked for exactly what I needed as I have a rather unusual airbrush setup with no hesitation and fully expected a resounding no. I mean, if Hobby Lobby, Hobby Town, and Dick Blick didn't have it, why should any other local store carry it? And, if the internet itself couldn't ship the part I was missing, who was I to believe that Desert Art Supplies could have it. The man behind the counter answered without skipping a beat, "easy as cake!" Really?! Because I'd already grown weary of searching the internet and visiting local art and hobby store after store to no avail. He took me to a glorious wall of fittings for airbrush and it was as if the heavens had opened above and angelic harp music started playing. I started to believe this store might actually carry what I needed. We tried a few different sizes which didn't work and my hope started to fade. But, then he pulled out THE EXACT size piece I needed and it fit PERFECTLY. Like a glove! Exactly what I needed. I was so happy to finally find, I asked if they hosted classes and they took my name and email to let me know when the next classes start. I also asked if they had a stand or other supplies I could use for my setup. I'm happy to support this small, local business and give them my business if and when possible. Please give this place a try for your art supplies - you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk through those doors. They have anything and everything you can possibly think of. Everything is clean, well-stocked, and organized. I hear from some of my neighbors that this store has been around for a long time and now I know why. Very happy customer here. Thank you!
