  • I had went to desert nails because the nail salon I usually go to was closed and they were close to home. I walked in and they greeted me right away. They were pretty dead. She was commenting on how thick my nails are and asked if I had acrylic. I told her that I have never had acrylic on my nails before and that my natural nails are just really thick. She started to drill the gel off my nails. Once she got all the gel off, SHE STARTED DRILLING AGAIN! My eyes were literally bulging out of my head but I was trying so hard to be polite. She was drilling my nails so much that it hurt. I started to pull my nails away when I had pain and she was starting to get the hint that I was not happy. So she said " you had acrylic on your nails and it was uneven so I had to take it off. I know for sure I have never had acrylic on my nails and hard gel hurts when you put it on so I know i didn't have that either. Anyways she was half way done so I unfortunately let her do the other hand as well. I was so upset. Now my nails are sooo thin. I have never had my nails this thin in my entire life. Oh and I asked for square nails and some of my nails are rounded and some are squared. This lady CLEARLY did not know what she was doing. Lesson learned. I will never go to a random nail tech ever again.
