Came to La Boulangerie with a friend for a mid afternoon coffee and treat, while he enjoyed a late lunch. A few of the great attributes this little bakery/cafe/bistro has:
- large selection of assorted pastries and breads, as well as a diverse array of quick breakfasts and lunch options from crepes to soup and sandwich specials.
- quality ingredients used and generous sized portions
- good location with ample parking and both indoor and outdoor seating
- lovely Parisian style decor and ambiance
Some of the drawbacks:
- I ordered a large cappucino that cost nearly $6. For that price I would have expected it be large enough to serve in a latte bowl. But it was a fairly standard serving size.
- ordered the apricot-almond tart for $7, again for the price I would have expected something more flavorful and larger than what I received. I didn't get much in the way of flavor and think I would give this is a pass in the future.
- the service was okay, staff weren't overly friendly and there was some confusion around where to place the order.
