  • I had the pleasure of seeing Elton John with my wife during one of his late April shows. I had seen him two times previously during his face to face tours with Billy Joel but this was my first solo performance. Everything is pretty scripted. He doesn't vary from the set list at all. You will leave wishing you heard...(fill in the blank). Natural problem when he could play for hours with his amazing catalogue. That being said, the venue and special effects were perfect. Elton played just under two hours. We sat all the way at the top but for an approximately 4500 seat venue we still had great sight lines. He was very personalable between songs sharing anecdotes and interacting with the crowd. Band and Elton were flawless. He is starting his farewell tour in the fall. If you have the chance to see him at one of his limited Vegas engagements or on the road, do it. I would see another show at the Coliseum and certainly Elton. It's worth every penny!
