| - While my girlfriend and I were in the Bellagio waiting for the performance of "O", we decided we would stop and eat at one of the many restaurants in the Bellagio floor. We had already eaten the Buffet, so we narrowed it down to the four or five remaining restaurants. Yellowtail had the shortest line, and I had been in the mood for sushi for a few days, so we stopped in.
The setting is very intimate, very cool. There's a small section inside next to the bar, a few tables spread throughout the restaurant, and a few tables on a deck looking out over the casino floor. We were seated immediately, and the service was outstanding. Very, very beautiful hostesses and servers took care of us all night long.
Had a few different rolls and a few orders of sashimi. The pace of the meal was pretty good, as we got our drinks and soup immediately, then slowly started receiving the rolls and sushi as the meal went on. It was at a good enough pace where you could eat and enjoy the meal, yet not have huge plates covering the table, spread out every which way. Overall, the quality of the sushi was very good, and the taste was great also.
For the restaurant, I was going to go with three stars. The food was good, but I've had better sushi at many local restaurants throughout the country, and it was WAY cheaper. The price of this restaurant certainly doesn't reflect the taste, although it was good, just not for the price. The service definitely knocked it up to four stars, however. Our waitress was exceptional, and the entire meal was very relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for sushi on the strip, as it probably won't get any cheaper unless you go somewhere else in Vegas. Definitely enjoyed the experience, and I would probably stop here again.
