As a group of male friends come to their yearly Vegas trip I have been lucky enough to be included in the pole position leg of this race. I must add that I am not so much as adventuresome as my fire red hair may lead one to believe. That being said, I womaned it up and watched training videos and went on a practice run with what felt like mini Nascar drivers.
Who knew that those balls to the wall, pedal to the metal race car phenoms that were swirling past me knocking me into the rubber walls were all prepubescent. Surely not my ego.
Needless to say, I had a blast flying around corners in a tight enough course to make you feel like you can build skill, but enough to give a great race.
I felt like I was in first the entire time.. I smiled and laughed hoping that everyone was talking about how amazing I was.
When the race was finished I'm pretty sure I came in dead last.
But you couldn't have told me that. What a great time. I highly recommend Pole Position for all ages. They make things a lot of fun, affordable, friendly, and they are well knowledged. I'd become a driver if I was any good. But if I had the time, I'd fool myself and just get a pass and have a blast. You should too.
