| - I went to this Petco today to seek help with problems I experienced with a recent purchase made at that store two days ago. The staff person I talked to was unsympathetic and rude. At one point she stated rhetorically "What's the big deal with this snail?" making me feel small and ridiculous for having a pet snail and being concerned about it. Maybe another person would not care about a $2.99 snail, but I also bought an aquarium, rock, plant, fish, fish food, and water conditioner to create a little environment for the snail. Her attitude and comments made me feel like I was stupid for my purchases, which I made on the recommendation of another (very nice and knowledgeable) Petco employee. Instead of addressing the problems I had (the fish attacked the snail, causing it to be damaged), and helping me, she blamed my problems on the other employee for selling me the fish.... I went there totally expecting to be helped and to make some more purchases to make my aquarium better. Instead, I felt embarrassed and ashamed for caring about my pet. The staff person did the bare minimum, but my issues aren't addressed and I fear I have wasted a lot of money at a store that cares only to take your money, not that your pets will actually thrive.
I gave two stars for the staff person who helped me and was really patient the other night.
