  • I love discounted clothing stores/thrift shops and there is always a hype about this place. I decided to check it out - only to be let down. First, I tried selling clothes but they would probably give me a value of less than $10. I'd much rather donate it. They are way too picky when it comes to accepting clothes. Second, a lot of the stuff they do take is garbage! They claim they purchase pieces that are in style but most of the pieces are no where near in style. A donation center probably would not even take it. Third, it is EXTREMELY overcrowded. You will be feeling claustrophobic. The racks are jam packed and difficult to go through. The employees are also hard to talk to as well. Plato's Closet only brings me frustration and irritation. I will NEVER go back here nor ever recommend it to anyone. Such a waste of time to go here.
