  • Please run as fast as you can in the other direction! Seriously, I know that you'll read reviews on other sites that say this place is "clean", "a great deal" and other types of gross distortions of the truth. I really wasn't expecting much out of this place given the ridiculously low price but deep down I had a dream of finding a diamond in the rough. No diamond.... but my stay was definitely rough. As soon as I drove up I knew that I was in trouble. The parking lot looked like a war zone. The pot holes looked like the concrete had been blown away by land mines and it took an incredible amount of skill to navigate around the lot without falling in. The outside of the hotel also had the ambiance of those dingy places that you see people turned into back-packs in slasher movies. Despite my desire to NOT be turned into a back-pack, I still checked in, mostly because I booked it online and it was non-refundable. The lobby wasn't terrible so I assumed that maybe my room would make up for the scary outside. Nope. It was worse that I expected. Everything from the bedding to the floors to the lamp shades were worn and dirty. The bedding, besides being dingy was so worn through that in some areas it was see-through. I called the front desk and requested my bedding to be changed. I went out for a while to allow the house-keeping staff to do their dirty work and came back to another set of sheet that were just as mucky. Since the whole point in me staying at a place other than my own clean bed that night was to escape my kids and the stress of home while I prepared for my Board exams the next morning, I decided not to push it. I sucked it up and after thoroughly checking the furniture for bed bugs I held my breath and jumped in, hoping for the best. In retrospect I wish I would have brought a sleeping bag to jump in as it would have been better. And if things couldn't get any worse, the bed was probably the worst I've ever slept on. I'm pretty sure there was a corpse under my mattress because it felt like a dead body was under my back the entire night. Although I managed to survive and make it to my test (no thanks to the room alarm clock which didn't work), I wouldn't recommend this motel to my worst enemy. That is, unless they want to get butchered by a mass murderer and have all kinds of creepies infect their armpits.
