I just watched a VW commercial on Youtube today called "Volkswagen WorldAuto." Here is exactly what it says in that commercial: "All of our Certified Pre-Owned VW vehicles come with a two-year 24,000-mile limited warranty... So that way, buying a car can be one less thing to worry about".
So here is the problem: either VW is false advertising or they lied and charged me over $1000 for a 2 -year warranty when I bought a Certified Pre-owned CC from them. I would like to have a clear explanation regarding this " To activate your 2-year warranty, you need to pay this $1000+ fee, or you won't be covered" policy.
Part 2 of the story: I bought this CPO CC at about 29,800 miles. So short after I got the car (about 2 weeks later), I got a call telling me that the 30,000-mile service is due for my CC. I drove the car back and did the service as recommended. I also received a service summary/report when I got my car back. The service report suggested that my car has an "alignment" problem and recommended to fix the issue asap. I was a little confused when I saw that as I didn't experience any misalignment problem during the 2 weeks of driving. After I got home I finally decided to have a look at the tires and found they all have very bad tears on the sidewalls. I went to Discount tire the next day and was told that all 4 tires are extremely dangerous to drive on, and I spent $800 to replace them.
"Buying a car can be one less thing to worry about?" I don't think so.
