yaaaaaaah finally a real mexican food joint!
me and my husband are two happy campers coming here last night.
our eyes both lit up when we saw Tortilla Soup on the menu. We are suckers for REAL tortilla soup. So when it came... we practically had tears in our eyes, it was so delicious. We each had our own bowl, kinda wish I had one now but I digress.
Next we shared the mandatory guac and chips - yum yum yum.
So here is where I hit my wall. I thought I came hungry enough but looking around the portions are so huge I knew I would never be able to finish an entree on my own. So, my husband ordered the pulled pork chimichanga with a side of bean soup and refried beans. Adding the jalapeno sauce made that dish. Yum yum.
The only downfall of the night was the churros. When I think of churros I think of my mexican donut coated in sugar and cinnamon. I found the churros to be lightly coated in sugar and it definitely needed more in my books to make the dish.
The atmosphere is loud and fun. We had a blast. The place is family owned and operated and to me that just makes it.
This place has moved to my number one in terms of Mexican joints... sorry Milagros.
