  • For cheap massages this is the place. $35 for an hour massage. After getting burned by groupons for massages at places that are then so overbooked you can never get in, I was looking for somewhere to get a more affordable massage. This place fits the bill. They are a massage school just off Odana Rd. As such, know that you'll be having a student perform the massage. When I call to make an appointment, I ask where the students are at in the program. If they are in the last 2 months of it, then they've generally been really good. Because it is a school, it's not the most spa-like or relaxing of place, but it's not bad either. During your massage at some point a teacher will pop in to check in on how things are going and to observe the massage for a few moments. Recently I pulled a muscle in my glute and had some ridiculously tight hamstrings that were causing a lot of lower back pain. I talked about this with the gal doing my massage beforehand and she was able to focus on those areas and loosen them. up. After the first massage, my left side felt completely better, but my right side was still painful (it was crazy tight). I booked another massage with the same gal a few days later and she was able to loosen everything up enough that I finally felt pain relief. When the instructor came in the room, she was able to demonstrate some additional moves to help with my specific issues. I've been to other massage places where I've asked them to focus on one area, but they still do the whole body thing, like they are set in a routine and can't adjust it to accommodate your specific needs. I've not had that issue at this school. Sometimes scheduling can be a bit off because the whole school is closed for the week. They do have evening hours though which is nice. No water offered after the massage, which I'm used to from other places, so keep a bottle in the car ready for afterwards. If you are looking for a fancy spa day experience, this may not be the place for you. If you are looking to get some kinks worked out at an affordable price, then call them and make an appointment.
