Quaint old town with a downtown area bustling with locally owned shops and restaurants. There are statues scattered throughout the downtown area and they also have beautiful parks. For a Saturday afternoon there was still street parking and if you need a map they are located throughout the downtown area.
I also saw a visitor center for the local National Parks and historic sites which are nearby including Lake Mead Recreational Area, Hoover Dam and it's close to Las Vegas. A welcome break from the noise of Las Vegas could lead you here to partake in some antique shopping or to just take in the picturesque scenery of nature.
They host some yearly festivals so, I would recommend checking their website and aligning your visit with one of them.
