  • Unlike most businesses out there, I find it difficult to rate Méchant Café. On one hand the atmosphere at the coffee shop is interesting, calm and intimate. The staff is welcoming, pleasant and efficient, the prices are fair and the location is ideal, right by the Côte-des-Neiges metro station. On the other hand, the coffee itself is a disappointment. The Americano and the Latte my husband and I ordered were both easy to swallow yet very average in taste. While it wasn't a disaster, there are many other locations in the city which produce much better coffee. And thus I find myself honestly challenged when giving stars to a Café whose coffee I would not particularly recommend, yet whose venue is pleasant enough. I guess I will have to settle for three and hope that the food items on their menu make the visit worthwhile for current and future visitors!
