I vacation in Mesa every year in May and simply love sushi. We'd been frequenting a place near our vacation house for the past few years, but I wanted to try something new.
I read a review from a person that followed this sushi chef around, stating he's super particular about the quality/types of fish he uses. I love me a particular sushi chef, so we tried it. It was amazing! We had the salmon nigiri and the scallop nigiri along with seaweed salad, edamame (of course) and 2 rolls.
It was so good, I went back a few days later for lunch. I found out the sushi chef has been making sushi for 22 years. Everyone is very friendly, service is great and the food is SUPER fresh and delicious. I found my new favorite restaurant in Mesa!
