| - I came here with my mother in law and her daughter to get pampered before our cruise.
We came in a few minutes earlier than our scheduled time and they seemed mad that they had to rush to open and wait for the nail techs to get there.
If you have appointments, wouldn't you feel the need to make sure you're open first and ready for them?
Anyways;
Mother got gel and her daughter and I got dip powder. It was messy. It looks good in the light though if you exclude the dips and bumps. They charge $10 extra to shape the nails. They didn't seem to understand the dip powder, and it was my first time getting it, so just imagine the experience that was. (Hint: it was just awkward. She had to search the boxes the polish came in for the right one.) The edges of the dip powder by the cuticles are not even and quite messy. Found out that after 2 showers, one of her daughters nails popped off. The whole nail.
I am not a fan of glossy nails, it's just too much for me. So I asked for a matte top coat. It cost $10 for that. $10 for a top coat.
Got a gel polish done on my toes because they wouldn't do a regular polish. Didn't want to waste another $10 on my toes for a top coat, so I didn't.
The mani and pedi don't include anything except the physical nails themselves. Don't expect more than that.
After mother and I were done, we just waited on her daughter who wanted a nail design, but ended up letting the lady do what she wanted because she couldn't understand her daughter.
When we were all done, she had 2 cuts on her fingers and wasn't very happy about that. Mother and her daughter ended up spending about $240 for mani and pedi.
I ended up spending $120 after the tip which I felt wasn't really deserved.
Note, the receptionist yelled at one of the nail techs for using the wrong coat on mother so, seems that's they aren't very experienced with even gel polish...
Wish we could of gone to Mother's trusted nail tech, but we were willing to try out this place, especially it being in our area, and being around some of our favorite places.
I was excited because it's located right next to my gym, thought the commute to pampering myself after a nice workout wouldn't be needed.
Hopefully this puts some things into perspective for you. I could of gotten 2 services for what they charge and tipped if we would of gone to our regular tech.
