| - DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE.
Unless you plan on living here forever (which seems to be the plan for most of the senior citizen residents), in the event 5 years from now you want to move on any other day aside from the day you originally moved in on, they will F you up the @ with a termination fee. Since we might want to move on a day other than the day we originally signed our lease a year ago (exploring careers out of state), we decided that a month to month option would be in our best interest. They charge an enormous extra $150 a month for this. We have lived here for a year - we aren't some transients!! But wait, there's more. These jokers do not understand the definition of a month-to-month agreement. Not only do they want us to pay $150 a month, and provide 30's notice, they also want us to pay a termination fee of one month's rent on top of this. WTF?!!!!?!?!?! Can you believe this?
Even if you die, the contract says you are still responsible for the termination fee. I think this says a lot about this place. Real hospitality.
One thing that I left out of my prior review is that the little air conditioner in the living room (wall unit) does not cool the bedroom at all. I can have this thing blasting for hours and the bedroom will still be about 80 degrees. I have been sleeping on the couch lately because I cannot sleep in such a warm environment.
Also, last year when we moved in during the late afternoon on the last day of the month, they charged us rent for an extra day even though the apartment had been sitting empty for at least a month.
As part of the lease, YOU are required to get the carpet professionally shampooed before you leave.
Expect to be nickel and dimed for everything.
You rent from this place, then you will likely be sorry.
