  • This place is a mixed bag, as with any apartment complex. There are definitely way worse out there, but there are also better. Here's my 2 cents after living here almost 3 years: The Good * Attentive office staff that are friendly and quick to attend to any requests, including maintenance and noise complaints * Very quiet and mostly clean community and the neighbors keep to themselves but are friendly. Not a party hotspot and not a lot of loud kids. * Two pools, which are nice in the summer, although for the past 3 years that we've lived here, one or both has been "under construction" * Great location, right off the bus line, i-60 and near ASU and MCC. * High ceilings in some units with lots of natural light * Plenty of parking * Some recycling available on site for the environmentally friendly. * Very dog friendly, even with larger breeds, which is a rare find! :) There's a small astroturf dog park on site with a nice shade tree. Almost all of the dogs are very nice and socialized. * Generally a nice, quiet safe apartment community. The Bad * High staff turn over. The office people are very friendly and we loved our old maintenance man, Chris. The new maintenance workers are incredibly sketchy, I would absolutely not trust them in my apartment without us there. The head guy is nice, but the other workers don't say hi or greet you and not professional looking or behaving people. They have done a very shoddy half-a** job on any repairs since Chris left. * CHEAP. Not affordable, cheap. The units are old and badly in need of renovation and updates. They 'renovated' half the units then stopped because people were not willing to pay an extra $300 a month on an already high rent rate for linoleum floors a new faucet in the sink. Every project goes to the lowest bidder here, do not expect anything close to"luxury" quality at any turn. * I agree with another commenter about the toxic counter coating they use. They claim it is non toxic but when any of the units are done the whole complex can smell an awful chemical, and we had to be out of the house for 2 days while it cured. Definitely does not seem safe and cost us money being out of the house!! Never lived somewhere in my life that doesn't just have real countertops. CHEAP. * Read your lease very carefully. You will be charged for everything, and I mean everything. Never heard of an apartment charging "common area fees" for the areas like the pool. They bill the electricity for these areas to the residents!!! What?? The rent is high and is raised every year without any improvements to the complex. Around $1200 a month for two bed/bath and you are responsible for water, sewer, garbage, electricity, pet rent, common area fees, pest control, and about $50 in other fees. Shop around and see what complex best suits you and read your lease VERY carefully. We will stay here for now due to location, but calling this place luxury is a huge stretch of the imagination. It's just an average, aging apartment complex.
