Came here tonight to see the factory and the cactus garden and left with my expectations surpassed! My boyfriend and I got here at about 6 o'clock and parked, being the only car in the entire parking lot. We thought for sure it was closed because there was literally not a soul in sight, but to our surprise it was open! Unfortunately when we came in, the self guided tour was kind of pointless because there was no one in the factory making the chocolate or anything to see! Understandable with the time we came so we went down into the main chocolate area where the candy is sold and we were the only people in the store, aside from the workers! The workers were all so sweet, offering us several samples of all the chocolate, coupons for our purchase, and offering to answer any questions we had!! We were so excited to be there! We were slightly disappointed when we walked through the garden and not a single thing was lit up! I understood the factory not in use because it was 6pm and the workers probably went home but they didn't close until 8 and I wasn't sure why they would turn off all the lights? It was a little disappointing but the customer service and friendliness of the workers definitely made the 30 minute drive worth it! I would definitely recommend that anyone going there call ahead to make sure the garden is lit up and the factory work is in session just to optimize the trip and see everything!
