So this hotel isn't much to look at. But for the price, it is worth a stay. It is located in the motel village in Calgary and is thus in walking distance from transit and many restaurants of different types.
It is exceedingly well kept if perhaps very outdated. The pink toilet and tub remind me of years gone by, but when staying in a hotel for the sole purpose of sleeping and not for spending a lot of time, the inexpensive cost outweighs any aesthetic issues.
The complimentary continental breakfast is nothing special, but it can be filling and is a decent start to any day. Check in might take a long time, but staff are cordial and quite helpful. Unfortunately while I didn't have any issues with noise others in my group did encounter noise issues from nearby rooms. It is a motel and thus if you are a light sleeper this may pose issues.
It is nice that all the rooms have fridges and microwaves. The tv was good if not huge or particularly fancy. Again the room is what one might expect for a motel of this age and time period, but it is certainly well kept and well maintained.
Wifi is included in your hotel stay but as I'm a Shaw customer and Shaw Open was available I used that instead.
