| - Went to shoot my new Glock and ended up becoming a member. The store is filled with all sorts of cool stuff that you probably don't need, but you definitely want, but it's the range where this place really shines.
If you've gone shooting before you know that indoor ranges can often be too hot, too cold, too smoky, or too restrictive. Scottsdale Gun Club is nothing like that. The range is climate-controlled, the air is clean and they have multiple air filters keeping it that way, and the atmosphere is welcoming. There is a range officer keeping an eye on everyone, but since each lane has an automated system to send the target downrange and bring it back, you don't have that issue where everyone has to stop and put down their guns while someone goes out to get a target.
Plus, even though I heard tell it was expensive, the pricing wasn't bad at all. It cost me $15 to rent a lane, but when I decided to join that charge was refunded. A basic membership costs $29.99 per month, which is the same as my gym membership. They were having a special that saved me from paying the $50 initiation fee, so that was nice as well. Oh, and if you're military, law enforcement, or a veteran, you only pay $24.99 each month.
Service was quick and very friendly even though they were slammed when I left. Maybe it just proves that old saying, an armed society is a polite society!
