| - Great little Italian joint with nice decor, good food and reasonable prices. We live near this spot but had never stopped in despite it being extremely close to our home.
We showed up on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. The restaurant was empty, so we were seated quickly by a really nice man who briefed us on the history of the place, recommended dishes, and the like. His service was very attentive and courteous (which of course it should be, since we were the only customers, but he's a great guy nonetheless).
Very clean with an Italian decor, but not the cheesy type. Thank goodness checkered tablecloths are finally going out of vogue.... Understated and a mixture of casual and elegant.
A nice touch was an order of bruschetta brought to the table as an appetizer, with fresh tomato and cheese. And the bread was excellent as well.
We tried the deluxe pizza, which was excellent, and $17.99 for a 16 inch pie--not bad. The menu is extensive without being too crowded. It's apparent that Miele's tries to get Italian right but not to try to overdo it by offering every possible dish, as many others do, especially the chains.
In any case, a nice dining experience. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.
