Once again I brave this ghetto of a plaza in search of good eats and much like an oasis in a dessert lies Fragrant Bakery, a true diamond in the rough.
How the heck can a tiny little joint survive in such a crappy little mall? Good food that's how. There is almost always a line up of people waiting for their prized Wife's Pastry and its corresponding Husband's Pastry. Due to the constant flow of people coming in, they are always warm when you get them and oh so good! The wife is sweet and the husband salty which my better half would say is appropriate;). These really are the best in the GTA and are a great deal at $1.20 and $1.10 each.
They also do a great job on the egg tarts, buns and cakes but you would be missing out on these pastries if you don't try them. To be honest I usually just grab those pastries as they are that good.
The ladies working the front are really efficient and courteous. Wives are sweet while husbands are salty?? I beg to differ!!
