  • First, the prepared foods review: Basically T&T, with cheap prices for average Chinese food, which I'm not against. Unlike T&T, they have a western foods section, but I haven't tried it yet, however the buffet is a nice touch. Their baked goods, however, are lacking compared to T&T, and they need to step it up! With how much prepared food they have, you'd think they'd step up and make a few Chinese bakery staples in house, rather than relying mostly on packaged ones. 4/5. Fish: I buy fish a lot, and the price is great for what they provide. Looking at the flier weekly and finding new types of fish for cheap to prepare in new recipes is exciting and the fish is fairly fresh. The rest of this portion will be purely speculation, so I won't dock them any points for it, but if someone knows better I hope they can make their own judgement. In the recent fliers, they've advertised tuna steak for $5.99/lb. I've tried buying it before, and that price sounds way too good to be true. Not even close to other places. I'm wondering if this is a case of a cheaper fish being passed off as a more expensive one. Of course, I could be completely misinformed, so take it with a grain of salt, unless you're someone who knows a lot about fish. 5/5. The rest: You can find many Asian staples here, including 20 types of chili oil and basically anything you'll ever need from an Asian supermarket. Unless it's a niche product, you'll find it. The produce is also really nice and well priced. So why is my overall rating 3/5? The following is my biggest problem with Nations Experience, and I'll be happy to change my review if they change their practices. Many of their produce is wrapped in Styrofoam and plastic needlessly. You'll buy four bell pepper and they'll be packaged. A few cucumbers? Packaged. What are you protecting them from? I care about the environment, and giving a company that blatantly contributes so much to landfill anything more than a three would go against my principles. While I can enjoy everything else, walking past the produce sours my mood, so 3/5 is the best I can do. Hopefully they read my review and decide to change that.
