  • We have had a 10x15 storage for about a year and a half. We got it at a special rate, which made it a good deal. The price increased and we kept it anyway, just because of the hassle of moving everything. We have the monthly fee auto-deducted from our business checking account. Tonight, my husband drove over there hauling a trailer, in rush hour traffic, after working all day. He arrived at 6:09pm, right after the office closed. When he got to our unit, there was a second lock on it. He walked over to the office to see if there was an emergency number to contact. Since there wasn't, I called the 800 number to try to get some help. I was told I wouldn't be able to speak to anyone until 9:30 am the next day. I explained the situation and was repeatedly told there was nothing that could be done. I asked who do they call if the building has a gas leak or a fire. Apparently, EMS has contact numbers, but the corporate office does not. I was then transferred to a supervisor, who wasn't there but had voicemail. I left a nasty message about bad service, which I'm sure will just be deleted. My hubby just called and said a very nice lady answered the residence door and is attempting to help him. Apparently, our unit was double locked because we tried to get in one night around 10:00pm not knowing the gates were closed for the night. This lady is working to remedy the situation, but for Heaven's sake...why would they lock us out of our own unit for not knowing the gates closed early on Sunday nights??!! Any other place I've used for storage had gate hours much later. In fact, the hours aren't posted on the gate and I had to look online on my phone, while sitting at the gate with a full load, to find out why our code wouldn't work the night we attempted to get in. Right now, I'm very irritated. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better. In any case, there is no reason for our possessions to be off limits to us. The bill is always paid and they have multiple phone numbers and email addresses to contact us. Someone screwed up...I expect some sort of discount and/or an apology for this major inconvenience.
