I went to this location at midnight to get a JVC HD Everio camcorder. A very nice store associate helped me out. It took her a while to get the keys, but I was fine with that. I'm not in a hurry.
The box was kind of beat up, but I'm fine with that too. I'm finally getting a camcorder to start my e-learning business.
I take it home and it's around 12:30 am.
The security tape on the box is already ripped. (Gasp)
The box is damaged because somebody has already opened it. (Gasp)
The bags that hold the charger and battery aren't taped. (Gasp)
The manual and the warranty paper are slightly damaged because of someone's thumb. (Gasp)
I called the store and nobody picked up. Fine, I'll write a Yelp review instead.
It's 1:14 am and I'm not happy with Walmart. I paid $189+tax for my gadget and I expect it to be 100% brand new. Who wants to pay full price for a returned item? Not me.
Why couldn't they put a sticker on the box? **Warning: Returned item - slightly used**
In the morning, I will have to drive to Walmart and waste my gas. I will have to waste my time waiting in line to get my money back. I expected much better from this company and from this store.
Unfortunately, this camcorder will be shelved again and another victim will pay full price for a used item.
Don't buy your electronics from this store. Amazon is always cheaper and they do not deliver opened box items to you.
