| - It's alright. The prices are decent, but still more expensive than what you could pay at a gardening centre or green house. But I understand that the price reflects the location and convenience.
While I know it's becoming trendy to buy house plants at "Instagram-able" stores these days, you really can buy these plants in other places for a fair bit less (I don't mean to be rude, it's just something I believe is true and I feel it's important to say). With the shop's reputation, I was hoping to see some rarer varieties, so I was a little disappointed. I wouldn't really make a special trip to come by this place again.
What caught my eye mostly was that some of the plants seemed untended to. Certain plants that should be kept in quite moist soil looked/felt like they hadn't been watered in several days. And other ones just didn't look that healthy. If I'm going to drop $20+ on a plant, and if they only have a few out for display, I want to see that they're watered appropriately before I bring them home.
That being said, cute shop, cute dog, and a nice selection of pots. I personally wouldn't buy plants from here because I can find these plants for less money in other stores with equally knowledgeable staff, but i understand the appeal, and they seem to know what they're talking about. Glad I visited, but probably won't be back.
