I love this store!
I could tell we found a good place when we pulled up. I saw license plates from Ohio, New York, Delaware and Maryland. If people are driving four to five hours to get here it must be the place to be. Like Adrienne L. said when we first walked in we had no idea were to go. So we just followed everyone else like cows being lead to their slaughter. LOL!
Once we got up stairs all I can say was wow! This place is huge. The floor plan is laid out to get you lost in the store. You could literally spend hours in this place, which we did! I love how they have living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms all set up and perfectly staged so you can imagine the pieces in your space. Service was good also. The restaurant was tasty as well.
Like others have said you have to build the furniture yourself and you have to go to the basement of the store to find the big pieces and wheel them to the check out. And if you want bags for the items you bought bring your own or you have to buy them. WTH! I guess they're being "green".
I wish I knew about this place when I lived in my tiny apartment in Shadyside! IKEA is all about tons of storage in small areas. All in all a great store. I will be back often!
