| - Came here on a Friday night with my best friend and my boyfriend, it was my second time at Hi Fi and it was honestly really underwhelming... My first time there I had way more fun because I was more drunk, so didn't really pay close attention to the music and people, but the second time I wasn't as into it.
I go to school in Vancouver, so there are tons of bigger clubs and venues there you can get in for $8, sometimes even $10 if you're lucky. For such a small club like Hi Fi to charge $12, it's kinda shitty. The music itself was ok but nothing special, they played a couple trap songs and remixes I liked, but the Three Amigos (the DJs that night) kept mashing up over 4 different genres of music at a time so it was super hard to try and dance to it. Overall I didn't enjoy myself too much, and neither did my friends, as they agreed that they overly mixed music was the worst part. In addition, the hefty cover was the cherry on top for a disappointing night. Think I'll stick to Habitat Living Sound instead if I want a more intimate clubbing experience, and Marquee if I actually want to turn up.
