| - We randomly thought of nitrogen ice-cream after dinner today and decided to head over to CoolN2. I had seen videos online and although I'm usually not convinced by hype food items that just seem to look Insta-worthy, I decided to try it out. We got there at about 7pm and there was no lineup with only one other group in the store. After looking at pictures at the cashier, we decided to order "Mango Popice" ($5.95) and "Frozen Breath" for an additional $1.50 (if bought with an ice-cream, otherwise $3.75 or $3.95 by itself, I can't recall). I initially thought you could only order a large Mango Popice since it said (L) beside it on the menu but the cashier directed us to the cup display and we were able to order a medium. After ordering, we quickly received the Frozen Breath and were asked if we've had it before. The employee poured the nitrogen onto the cheetos and instructed us to shake it before eating. I thought that the cheetos would lose the nitrogen effect after a few minutes but it lasted much longer, for about 15 minutes before the nitrogen began to evaporate. With the Mango Popice, we were pleasantly surprised to find multiple layers to the dessert with a reasonable about of fresh mango on top, creamy popice, layers of mango syrup, and milk pudding on the bottom! The medium size was more than enough for the two of us and exceeded our expectations.
I find that for the price, which is very reasonable for the amount you receive and the experience, CoolN2 is definitely worth a try!
