I've stayed just about every place on the strip and I really enjoyed the Cromwell. To set some context, this was a Vegas show, restaurant, and pool trip with the wife. That made the character of the hotel room totally worth it. If I was coming with the boys for a 48 hour bender I would save yourself the money because you won't get the value out of this place. The casino is decent. Nice, smaller than most on the strip, very playable. Outside of the rooms, I think that the real draw to this place is the Rooftop Pool/Club Party. It is crazy! Some serious day drinking and late night partying going on up there. I'm not sure if the party ever stops. You can get in for free during the day if you are staying at the hotel. Otherwise you have to pay (not sure how much). Be prepared to be strip searched and probed before you are allowed to proceed up the elevator to the pool/club. The other thing that I will say about the Cromwell is that it is located right in the middle of the strip. The Bellagio, Caesar's, Bally's are all at the same intersection. It is just a short walk to all your favorites. If you are coming to Vegas to enjoy the day/evening activities then this is the place for you. If you are coming to party your face off spend your money somewhere else.
