I needed a washer and dryer installed. I called Elite and spoke to a really nice girl on the phone who gave me a price quote and set me up for an appointment the following day between 12 and 4. I waited ALL day and wasted my afternoon waiting. And waiting. And waiting. 4 pm rolls around and still no one had shown up and no one had called. I decided to wait until 4:30- perhaps they were just running late. At 4:30 when I still hadn't heard anything I went ahead and called. I spoke to the same person who'd scheduled the appointment and she was really confused as to why no one had shown up yet. She said she'd call the guy and find out. Right around 5pm the guy calls and says "sorry, I lost track of time. The job I'm at now was supposed to be for one thing and it turned out to be three. Can we just do tomorrow between 12-4?" Um no! I waited around all day and wasted time once already for a no-show. I wasn't willing to do it again. If I hadn't called, what would have happened? Would they have just never shown up? The absolute least he could have done was offer to come the following day at a SPECIFIC set time- not give me another 4 hour window. That, or they could have offered a small discount or something- but no, nothing. He didn't seem to care that I had been waiting all day for nothing. If he got to the prior job and realized that they wanted him to do more than they had originally asked he should have either told them no and rescheduled their appointment or called me right at that time to let me know he was going to be running late or not coming at all. I ended up scheduling with someone else through Thumbtack who ended up being cheaper and arriving right on schedule.
