Dr. Virnig is *amazing* and this 3 star has nothing to do with her. She gets 5 stars. The three stars has to do with management. I called from work driving to pick up my contacts prior to going out of town for Labor Day. I had asked if they could be shipped to me because I knew this would be an issue - was told they could not. The man (Joe?) who I'd asked said "no problem, if you call ahead, I'll bring them to your car so you don't have to park" which is what I did. Instead I was met on the phone with a rude woman who I think was the manager or owner who told me "we close at 5". I was on the way but was worried I would be a few min (5 at the most) late finding parking uptown on Tryon. She did not offer to run the contacts out, as previously indicated but was focused on the 5pm closing time "the doors lock at 5" as if a robot closed them. Well, thankfully I was able to park and run in by about 4:56 --- to be greeted by an empty front desk. I had to nearly yell to the back to even get the woman to meander to the front and give me my contacts. I found that pretty rude after she had told me she was waiting to lock the door on my face. My insurance dictates I go to MyEyeDoctor. They must pay Dr Virnig pretty well because she should be working at Charlotte Eye ENT, where I used to go when I had a choice - much classier outfit.
