So many other options in town for steak. This was just okay. The steak was good enough and priced as high as you would expect.
The part that irritated us was we went on our 20th wedding anniversary. Place was louder than expected but that wasn't too bad. While they have a corkage fee ($20) what they don't bother to tell you is if you happen to bring a bottle they have on their wine list they refuse to open the bottle. Yup. Spend 70 dollars for a steak and they'll tell you no. So essentially if we had brought a cheap bottle of grocery store wine they would have opened it but a quality bottle we brought the answer is a resounding "no".
Billed as an old school Vegas Steak house where in old Vegas no one was ever denied anything.
The other issue was we felt very rushed. Everything was fast paced and clearly set for turn over. Personally, when I spend this kind of money it's special and honestly for the money I like feeling like they're happy I'm there. Almost like I'm eating a lot a friend's place. They rushed the service, everyone was running around crazy, and I know it sounds odd to notice this but they handed us our salad plates. It struck me as odd in a high priced place - it's like okay I guess I'll pay for the privilege of serving myself. Not what I would expect or look for to be treated like a dollar amount more than a customer from a high end steak house.
The servers were nice enough and the food was good and there was a lot of it.
While it's been around a while and would have been a top notch steak house back then it's just average, over priced, rushed and has some off-putting customer policies I would say look elsewhere for a steak like Echo and Rigg or Herbs and Rye.
