I like this place though I havent tried the food yet. It was a little annoying that when I first arrived there were about 4 staff standing around and gossiping but as soon as I arrived they just scattered like dust in the wind. Do waitresses understand that when people walk into their restaurant, if you HELP THEM you might get TIPS!!!!????? If you walk away, you might lose them as a customer. First impressions count! Anyway I gave up on finding anyone to help me get a table and just sidled up to the bar, the bartender was a nice Aussie (why are there so many people from Down Under in Alberta? Every single ski instructor or ski lifty ive met is from there!) who was just the perfect amount of friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Plus a lovely chardonnay was only $9 including tax and tip, thats a very good price in my book. Plus the interior and the gorgeous antique stained glass windows 2 stories up cathedral ceilings were amazing- I dont know the history but Im guessing its a renovated century old bank, considering the name. Ill research before I go back again, which hopefully will be soon :)
