| - My wife and I went here expecting a similar experience to the one in South End - don't make the same mistake. Expectations or not, this place was not worth it.
The place is new - so it's clean, and looks upscale. The bar area looked nice and welcoming, the tables set on a beautiful stained concrete floor, the lighting was dark - too dark really - and the bathrooms looked fancy. The waitress was friendly - not super fast, but fine.
That's where the positives end. The ambiance is really bad once you try to have any sort of conversation - it is WAY TOO LOUD! You have to yell to have any hope of communication with the person next to you. Even speaking to the waitress was difficult. I ordered a lamb burger, my wife a grilled chicken sandwich - both with parmesan cheese fries. Sounded tasty. When the food arrived - the burger came on the gimmick board with a cutout for a small cup of fries.
The fries tasted fine, but they weren't anything special - the same as baking some frozen bagged fries from the store and sprinkling garlic and parmesan seasoning on them. My burger was very boring - seeing how it was seasoned lamb with feta cheese and some weird sauce - it was boring. I was very let down. My wife's chicken sandwich was dry, flat, and tasteless. Ketchup was the best part of the meal.
To top it off - the fancy automatic sinks in the bathrooms would not come on - after smacking them, one started working - but then wouldn't shut-off.
My wife said she had the same issue in the women's bathroom too. So much for handwashing taking place here. Even the beer prices are ridiculous, so even heading back there to visit the bar seems unlikely.
Don't waste your time or money - Chili's has the same quality food.
