| - NEVER EVER EVER EVER, and I mean EVER send any of your loved ones to this HORRIBLE place!!! This place is a complete shit show. The nurses that are supposed to be "Caring", are literally useless employees. I get it, they don't get paid shit, this must be their first nursing gig and just need the experience. This is a horrible place for anyone, short-term or long-term stay. Here are the list of complaints:
*NURSE call button: What a joke! Useless button. The longest my mom waited was 45 minutes until someone came to help her. Looked outside and saw 3 nurses at the station. I know they hear the beeping, but not one acknowledge us, even with me standing in the hallway lookin at them like "wtf"! So...Mind you, my mom with mobility issues due to parkinsons, could of been sitting in a bed of her own shit, or worse, down on the floor dead. We did several tests. The best time was 20 mins,and that was because an employee just so happened to be walking by from her break.
*MEDICATIONS: Mom didn't get her meds for a whole day. When she did, she wasn't told what she was taking. This trailer-park-trash of a nurse (who probably smokes a pack a day), handed my mom a cup of "pills" to take saying "here's your meds". This was only after I went around asking. She also had the nerve to get snappy with me just for me asking. Sorry...i should of known that she had just started her shift and had better things to do.....
*ARGUMENTS: Mom needs a breathing treatment every 6 hours. Confronted the nurse, who stated "it says AS NEEDED". Okay... i explained.."well she NEEDS IT every 6 hours!". I don't understand how else to explain it. The CNA's, god bless them, but some may need to re-think this line of work. When confronted about the need for help in my moms room, CNA says "i was just there 5 minutes ago, and she's fine". I called BS and said..."ummm no , her nurse light button has been on for 30 minutes now since i arrived" Straight up lied to my face, turned around and walked away as I was talking.
*FACILITIES: I think a stay at a weekly Budget Suites is nicer than this shit-hole. Moms hospital bed, (which must be from the 1980's, creaks, and the wood is chewed out, like termites got to it.
*LACK OF ATTENTION: Don't mind the screaming patient's towards the evening.They just let them yell, not even checking on them.
*THE FINAL STRAW: After the confrontation, CNA comes to mom and says.."Why didn't you use the bathroom while your daughter was here?" Mom says..."cuz it's YOUR job".
Since being here for 4 days, I have personally had to come to visit mom NUMEROUS TIMES throughout the day...just to make sure she gets her treatments, uses the bathroom, bring her water bottles (they left her a pitcher of water that's been sitting since), even bringing her food to eat, the food here sucks. Forget walking, they will leave your loved ones in the room to die and no one would know it. I walked my mom myself down the hallway, and no one cared. I literally could of pushed her out of there myself and just taken her home.
This place gets 1 star: and that's because its near my house. Other than that, this place needs to get shutdown. How it's still operating, just blows my mind.....
FYI: The majority of the staff is Filipino. Guess what....we are too! You would think that there would be the compassion...but nope. They treated us like this.. how much more for everyone else. It's very sad. They really don't care.
Transferring mom to another location...TODAY!
