Desperate times call for desperate measures. We were looking for a room to stay at on a Saturday night in July (It was also UFC Fight Night In Vegas). I had been looking since 3pm and I kept seeing rooms getting booked left and right and the prices began going up. It was around 6pm and I got desperate. I was looking on Orbitz and I booked a non smoking room with 1 bed for about $300+ in this crap hotel.
We get to our hotel room and they immediately asked me if I had a room booked already. I told them I did. They looked me up and informed me that even though I booked my room through Orbitz for a non smoking room that they only had a room available for a smoking room. I was upset, but I really had no choice but to accept since the hotel price at this point were anywhere from $400-$500 at this point. I asked if they could spray down the room, they called someone on the radio to go over to the room and spray it down.
We drive over to our room and as soon as we open it, the room reeks of cigarettes. It clearly wasn't sprayed down. We go back to the front desk and they said the guy sprayed it down and that our noses will adjust to the smell since it takes a bit for the spray to kick in and eliminate t he odor. WTF! I thought this guy thought I was a complete idiot to believe all this. I asked him for the spray so I can just spray the room down myself. He refused to give it to me and said that the guy had already sprayed it. I was pissed at this point, terrible customer service! We ended up having to buy our own spray and air out and spray the room ourselves. Besides that our stay there wasn't too bad and I'm surprised I didn't get bit by bed bugs after reading the terrible reviews.
