| rev:text | It's not Costco. Not even close. More like Walmart on steroids. Unfortunately none of the Costco's in town are convenient for me so after finding an irresistible membership offer on Groupon, I sucked it up and joined Sam's Club.
Growing up in Dallas, Sam's was just as large, if not larger than Costco. At home, there are distinct clothing departments for men, women, kids, shoes, etc. I'm a bit disappointed in this one. Is there even a clothing section for adults? I remember seeing a small section of an aisle with some trainers. I just wanted socks.
I found their pricing for vitamins & personal care products for men/women to be higher than Costco.
Not much in offerings of household items (bedding, fans, rugs, etc.) compared to Costco, or even electronics.
Surprisingly I could easily find what I was looking for this Saturday afternoon. It wasn't crazy busy. They DO have self serve check out which I love!!!
Overall I am disappointed. Maybe other locations in town are better? I expected Sam's to be at least comparable to Costco, and so far I'm not seeing they are even close. I hope I didn't make a mistake joining Sam's instead of renewing at Costco. Convenient to my home? Yes. But is that enough??
Time will tell. |
