I have stayed at the hotel Monaco twice. It's defiantly a great hotel and I love being a reward member at Kimpton hotels. The hotel is swanky, great place to hang out, grab dinner and stay. I would recommend this property to other people if they are staying in Pittsburgh. The front desk staff and restaurant bar staff were super friendly. Check in was a breeze and very quick. The only issue that I have was that the rooms were extremely dusty. I found myself sneezing because of the dust all over the ways, lamp shades and head boards (see pictures). They need to do a much better job at cleaning the rooms. Also, the beer garden didn't leave of a big impression. The menu was lack luster. I would have thought they would have a selection of various German sausages but there was not. Also, if you valet your car you have to text a number and your car will be retrieved in 30 mins. You might wanna give yourself 45-50 mins if it's during the day. I had a early morning flight so I text the valet number with my ticket number at 3am. When I came down 20mins later the valet guy didn't even leave to get the car yet. WHAT THE HELL. I have to get to the airport and still fill up my rental car. I need to leave now. So I had to wait almost another 15mins for him to get my car. It's 3am! It's not like there is a ton of cars that are being valet at that time. You should have been gotten my car when I text the valet number 20mins ago. They really need to do a much better job with the valet parking because it's a total mess. Renaissance Hotel does a better job when you valet your car. So annoying.
