I prior had Century Link. When my condo building signed an exclusive with Cox Communications, I figured I would try them a year ago. The bill was higher at $159. Since then, my wifi has to be reset 2 times a week, just goes out. Repeated outages especially later at night. I am on my 7th modem because the reconditioned ones I am given fail. Now the biggest insult, I was given a $40 rate increase. TV stations repeatedly disappear. I have to unplug and re plug in boxes almost 5 times a week. They claim to have sent 3 techs here, including one that rewired my apartment, splitters and all wiring when there were 10 techs here, many in sub or main boxes due to so many complaints. The on demand channel rarely works. Most of my huge building and our management office has the same issues. Their retention rep and supervisor refused to assist and said my rate stays as it is. I guess back to Century Link I go. I come from the telecom industry many years and handled many retention issues including complaints to the CEO's offices. Never have I encountered retention reps who adamantly refuse to assist the customer. I will be sure to spread this incident around to the many business and professional groups I belong to, some have Cox management and executives as members.
