| - I've heard great things about Richardson's, Rokerij, and Dick's Hideaway. I've dined at Rokerij twice and was very underwhelmed by both experiences. Most recently, I called ahead to make a reservation at Richardson's to give this group of restaurants another shot. When we arrived, the hostess said the person who made our reservations "messed up" and was supposed to call me back to notify me they were moving our reservation to Rokerij rather than Richardson's due to a table mix up. We were never called. She assured us the menu was almost identical, so I didn't make a big deal about it. We got the calamari, which was all right. It came with a sweet chili sauce that tasted like sweet and sour sauce you get with spring rolls at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered one of the specials: trout with cilantro-lemon pesto. It came with a house salad, mashed potatoes, and I got asparagus as the veggie. The salad tasted fine, but definitely did not seem like great quality. The server said the salad came with some sort of jalapeƱo creamy dressing, but it tasted like bottled Ranch dressing. It reminded me of a salad bar salad. The trout was also nothing special. The cilantro-lemon pesto was not lemony at all. The mashed potatoes were very good. That and the wine are the only reasons I'm giving them 2 stars. The New Mexican enchiladas with green sauce was VERY spicy. The server did not forewarn us. The server also forgot to bring 1 salad and never brought me silverware. For the price we paid, I expected more attention to detail and better quality food.
