| - OK, so I'm from California and had no idea what Loblaws was. Apparently, it's a huge supermarket chain and is towards the higher end of the pricing spectrum. The ground floor has a florist, a chocolatier, a dry cleaner and a cigarette shop. Upstairs is a deli, a bakery, a produce section, frozen foods, personal items, etc.
They have some of the most AMAZING cheeses and it's easy to put together a simple meal with ingredients from the various departments if you know what you're looking for. The checkout people were nice and everyone we asked for help was polite and helpful.
The market is big and there are lots of shoppers, but it's easy to navigate, is well-lit and laid out.
My cousins like to laugh at me because I've never seen milk in bags before. It's just not something we do here in California. Nor do we recycle so damn much. What is it with you people? We have to be bribed to do it. But I digress... :)
