  • Dr. Burroff is a really good doctor. He was very personable and listened to my concerns. Every time I've visited he's treated me in a friendly and caring manner and Done whatever he could to address any of my issues. I've had zero problems with Dr. Burroff, but the incompetence I witnessed at this office was unparalleled. I might go as far as to say that this is the most incompetent medical staff I have ever encountered. I arrived at 2:15 for my 2:30 appointment, with two people waiting in the office. I promptly filled out and returned my paperwork, and expected to be called in next since the two other patients had gone inside. After 40 minutes of waiting and watching over a dozen people go in, I decided to ask the secretary what was going on. I was told that I was going to be called "right now" (which I've since learned is just a California expression for "not any time soon"). Twenty minutes later I was finally called in and the nurse explained to me that my appointment time was written as 3:30 on my chart, even though I confirmed three times that my appointment time was 2:30 After leaving the office I went to get my prescriptions filled and encountered more problems. My insurance company informed the pharmacy that the doctors office would need to call them with a "prior authorization" to release the prescription. My pharmacy called the office several times, and after two weeks of waiting, I decided to call myself. I believe I spoke to the office manager (I'm not 100% sure). This pompous, arrogant individual spoke to me in medical terminology, seemingly in an attempt to confuse me because he can't keep up with every day dialogue. This cold, ignorant fellow explained to me in English that my dog wouldn't understand that my problems were not his concern and he simply didn't "have the time" to make a single phone call and ensure that I could actually receive my medication. When I returned to the pharmacy I was informed that this gentleman actually took the time to call and cancel one of my scripts. Not two, but one. But again; he simply couldn't find the time to make a call to authorize my prescriptions to my insurance company. Again, I really like Dr. Burroff. I'm completely satisfied with him as a doctor, even despite having to deal with the poor staff.
