| - Recently, I visited Dr. Richard E. Hults Lenscrafters office inside Richmond Mall. I am a new patient, and I only visited that location because I have a new insurance plan, and this Lenscrafters is close to my home.
The Doctor who performed my exam, was very professional and very nice. However, I can not say the same about the Receptionist (with the Plaits in her hair). When my appointment was over, she told me that I didn't owe a copay.
But when I was talking to a Sales Person about ordering glasses (in a different, adjacent Lens department), she came up to me (interrupting our conversation) and said I had to come back to her office to pay a copay.
Luckily, I had not left the premises yet, and was able to go back and make the payment, instead of getting an unexpected bill in the mail--and having to call my insurance company and ask them why I was being billed, after the Receptionist said my insurance covered my all my exam costs.
Furthermore, when I called the Receptionist to order my contacts over the phone, she was very rude and said that I would have to schedule a second appointment to order them. I tried explaining to her that the Doctor said I could order them over the phone, after trying out the trial pair I wore for a week.
But the Receptionist insisted that I could not, and she proceeded to be very rude and unprofessional with me. Having no other option, I scheduled a second appointment; which was very inconvenient--since I had worked long hours the night before.
I told the Doctor how rude the Receptionist was (who was not in the office that day) and the Doctor apologized and had the other Receptionist place my order. And, the Doctor said that I could have ordered my new contacts over the phone.
When I went back to the office, the third time, to pick up my new contacts the rude Receptionist with the Plaits was there--and she conveniently forgot to give my my $30 Rebate form (which I had to remind her of).
Also, she forgot to give me my $30 off coupon for new Sunglasses (which the Sales Person in the adjacent Lens Department had come remind her of).
