  • If yelp could give negative stars this would be one of those experiences! First time every checking this place out. Walk in, pay my $1 for "membership" so I was a cool kid like everyone else. It has a nostalgic feel as you walk in and see pinball and donkey kong. I was excited to check out this place. I walked with my partner to the bar and ordered a couple of beers. Played some joystick games and placed my beer into the "appropriate" red colored beer holders in front of the games as I played. Decided I wanted to play pinball. Went to grab a quarter but ran out of hands and placed my beer on the machine. Voila!! It slid right off and onto the floor. My bad! I went to the bartender, extremely apologetic and offered to wipe it up. I told him I spilled my beer and that I am sorry. He decided to rip into me and tell me "you should NEVER place your beer on the machines!!! These are $15,000 machines!!" First off, it was accidental. Secondly, I was completely sober and you decided it was a good idea to have $15,000 machines near actual drunk people so I am sure I am not the first person to do this. Last I checked, these machines did not cost near this in 1990 so surprise to me. There are also signs posted all over about how they can fix issues in a matter of seconds, but not if a beer is spilled! God forbid this happens in a bar!!! Who would have though?! Third, I would think that you would anticipate this happening at some point and have a better way of handling it. I was appalled to say the least. The bartender (wearing a Red Sox hat which is a shame since I am a fan) proceeded to the machines with an obvious attitude and cleaned the spilled drink as he tossed metal chairs to the side instead of gently moving them. He stated out loud in front everyone there "You spilled it all over the machine!!!" I think my 3 year old is more mature than he ever will be. Not sure if this is the owner, but if so I would change how you handle business if you want to stay in business. Honestly, he is very lucky I was actually on my 2nd beer of the day or there would have been way more to this story than I have told. To say the least I left teeth to tongue, tore up my "cool kid" membership card and will never look back. Nightmare!!! Never again.
