We all know that it's important to have a good doctor that we trust, but it's also equally important to have a car mechanic that you can trust!
My family has been going to Hide Auto Centre since I can remember. His specialty is Japanese cars (honda and toyota), but Hide Auto Centre also fixes european and american cars.
Hide is an extremely nice man and very trusting. He never "overcharges" for ghost fees or tries to upsell you to do fix something random with your car. One thing that I really appreciate is that he always goes over the entire bill with you. He also will explain to you exactly what happened with the car--sometimes bringing you the broken piece--so you know what he's fixing.
When you first walk into his small store-front, keep in mind that his waiting area is not a nice frily waiting area of an overpriced dealership repair shop, filled with a cappucino maker and an endless supply of day-old donuts. Remeber that you're paying to have your car fixed, not to be entertained while you wait. The waiting area is small, with only a few chairs. There's coffee available and a small tv to entertain yourself. It's probably a good idea to bring a book to read if you're going to wait.
